Law no./5/ of year 2005 concerns Syrian Arab Republic to join International Agreement to combat finance of terrorism .

According to provisions of constitution and decisions of parliament of its session that was held in 19/2/1426A.H 29/3/2005 issue the following :

Article 1-

Syrian Arab Republic agreed on joining International Agreement to combat finance of terrorism that is adopted by General Assembly of The United Nations in Newyork 9/12/1999, with reservation of provisions of section /B/ of item/1/ of article no/2/ of this agreement as Syrian Arab Republic deems resistance of foreign occupation is not listed under terrorist works.

Article2-

Depending on provisions of section /A/ of item/2/ of article/2/ of this agreement the Syrian join to this agreement is not valid to the following agreements stated in its attached annex till they will be adopted , they are :
*International Agreement of hostages resistance that is adopted by General Assembly in 17 December 1979.
*The adopted material protection agreement of nuclear elements in Veina 3 March 1980.
*International Agreement to subdue terrorist attacks using atoms this agreement adopted by General Assembly in 15 December 1997.

Article3-

By virtue of item /2/ of article /24/ of agreement ,Syrian Arab Republic declared itself free from committing to provisions of item /1/ of the stated article.

Article4-

The join of Syrian Arab Republic to agreement as mentioned in article/1/of this law does not mean any way recognition of Israel or lead to any dealing with it as applying agreement provisions .

Article5-

This law must be published in the official newspaper .
